Refund policy

We want PowerSEC to work for your business. Here's our refund policy in plain language.

30-day money-back guarantee

Your first annual subscription comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee.

If PowerSEC doesn't work for you:

  1. Email support@powersec.io within 30 days of your first payment
  2. Tell us why (helps us improve, but no requirement to justify)
  3. We refund the full amount
  4. Your account downgrades to Free; your data stays

Eligibility:

  • ✅ First-time annual subscribers
  • ✅ Within 30 days of first payment
  • ❌ Not eligible: second-time customers (already had the trial)
  • ❌ Not eligible: monthly subscribers (no money-back; just cancel anytime to stop future charges)

After 30 days

For requests after 30 days, refunds are evaluated case-by-case based on:

  • Why you're requesting (technical issue we couldn't fix? feature missing? changed business needs?)
  • How much of your subscription period is left
  • Whether you've used the service significantly

Generally:

  • Annual plan, <60 days used → likely full refund
  • Annual plan, 60-180 days used → prorated refund possible
  • Annual plan, >180 days used → likely no refund (we'll work with you on Pro Trial extensions instead)
  • Monthly plan → no refund; cancel to stop future charges

When we always refund

  • ✅ Service outage that prevented you from using PowerSEC for >24h
  • ✅ Billing errors (double-charge, wrong amount)
  • ✅ Charged after canceling
  • ✅ Account compromised (fraudulent subscription)

When we never refund

  • ❌ "I forgot to cancel" past the 30-day window — please remember to cancel if you don't want to continue
  • ❌ Changing your mind 6 months into an annual plan (try monthly next time)
  • ❌ Refusing to provide account email (we need to verify ownership)

How to request

Email support@powersec.io with subject "Refund request" and include:

  • Account email: your@email.com
  • Subscription type: Annual Pro / Monthly Agency / etc.
  • Reason: brief description

We typically respond within 1 business day. Approved refunds appear on your card in 5-10 business days.

Stripe disputes

If you dispute a charge with your bank instead of contacting us:

  • The dispute fee ($15-25) is added to the disputed amount
  • Your account is suspended pending dispute resolution
  • We provide evidence of service usage to your bank
  • If the dispute is ruled in your favor, your account stays canceled
  • If we win, you owe the original amount + dispute fee

We always recommend contacting us first — we'd rather refund directly than fight a dispute.

Pro Trial extensions

Instead of refunds, we sometimes offer Pro Trial extensions:

  • Adds 30-90 days of Pro features to your account
  • Useful if you weren't able to fully evaluate before deciding
  • Available once per account
